Since 1956, the Villa family has been at the heart of the company’s foundation.
Comavicola was founded in 1956 as a company specialized in the distribution of food products. From the very beginning, it demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit, gradually expanding its operations and starting the import of frozen products from various parts of the world.
This vision sparked an evolution in the distribution sector, with a growing focus on the seafood and frozen goods segment. Today, after nearly 70 years in business, the company remains entirely Italian-owned and stands as a leading reference in Northern Italy for the multichannel distribution of frozen seafood products. With a modern structure, efficient logistics, and a forward-looking vision, Comavicola continues to invest to ensure quality, service, and reliability for all its commercial partners.

Processing room
The 1,500 sqm food processing and transformation area is equipped with around 30 state-of-the-art machines, including an “Ishida” multihead weigher packaging machine and a “Multivac” packaging machine—both ideal for meeting the high standards required by the large-scale retail channel.
The activity is structured across three main lines:
Mollusk Line
dedicated to the processing of cuttlefish, squid, and the curling of octopus.
Cutting Line
for tuna, swordfish, and other fillets.
Mix line:
dedicated to the preparation and packaging of high-quality seafood salads and ready-made sauces.
Each line is equipped with advanced control systems: products undergo strict inspections using metal detectors and X-ray machines to ensure the highest level of food safety.
